Coming Back

I know, It’s been a while since I haven’t post, but we are here again, not only writing but coding. There are many things we want to accomplish but the first thing that we want to do is to release something. At least for my own sake. I totally need it, so, less talk and more work.

What’s all about?

What’s the Key Maker? Is just a Open Source passwords manager solution, that’s there to help you to keep, organize, and remember your Password. It’s aimed to help those individuals that work with several passwords, like system administrators, programmers, web developers, moms with several bank accounts , etc.

Features:

• Web-Based: The Key maker is being developed under the LAMP platform, so all what you need is a web server running PHP and a MySQL Database.

• Users and Roles: Is going to be able to create users and manage different roles for users. In that way, you can decide who does what in the system.

• Categories: Why don’t keep your password under categories. Now you’ll be able.

• Sharing: Because sometimes, we need to share our passwords in a secure way with your folk, The Key Maker give you the possibility to do so.

Genesis

I was talking to my brother and He asked me, “is there any easy to use data base that I can use to keep my password?” . Almost immediately I remembered that I had promised my wife that I am going to create such application. Happens that we share several password (bank accounts, servers, ftp accounts), etc. So we decided it would be worthy to have a web based app to share, create, keep and organize our passwords. I don’t know when this is going to be done. But I’ll promise, I am working really hard to get it done.
